Synopsis

Mahoro Andou is a combat android created by Vesper, a covert group tasked with defending Earth from extraterrestrial threats. Her operational lifespan is nearly exhausted: continued engagement in combat will cause her to deactivate in about a month, while withdrawing from battle would let her function for more than a year. Suguru Misato, a high school student living alone in his late parents’ large home, struggles with household duties and seeks domestic help. His situation resolves when a maid-attired young woman thwarts a bus hijacking; that woman is Mahoro, who opts to spend her dwindling active days as Suguru’s maid. As she and Suguru, along with his friends, share tranquil and spirited daily moments, Mahoro invests her remaining time in those relationships. Beneath her cheerful service, she conceals an undisclosed motive for taking the position, and hints suggest that Suguru’s history and hers are connected in ways he does not yet understand.
