Synopsis

After an embarrassing accident leaves Kouta Shibaki ostracized at school, the ordinary heterosexual student finds himself shunned by his peers. Seeking diversion in the school library, he discovers a strange tome rumored to call witches. Half as a joke and half from boredom, Kouta follows the book’s ritual, and an apprentice witch named Rurumo Maji Mojiruka appears. Bound by an unexpected pact, Kouta agrees to assist Rurumo with various witch-related tasks in return for sparing his soul. Rurumo, accompanied by her familiar Chiro, strives to persuade Kouta to let her use up to 666 magical tickets that grant wishes to complete her witch training. Each ticket she uses shortens Kouta’s lifespan, placing him in a painful dilemma between aiding Rurumo’s progress and preserving his own life. The story traces their uneasy partnership and the moral and personal tension that arises as Rurumo pursues her goal and Kouta weighs the cost of each fulfilled wish.
