Synopsis

In the rural settlement of Jimuna on the Jamu Jamu continent, Kukuri, the final scion of the Migu Migu people, lives under the care of an elderly sorceress who instructs her in the tribe's hidden magic; Kukuri struggles to master these lessons. Also in Jimuna is Nike, a boy raised by authoritarian parents who mold him to be the village's courageous defender—though he does not wish to assume that role, he grows into a powerful youth. When King Kodai gathers forces to confront the dark sovereign Giri, both Kukuri and Nike are chosen to join the expedition. Their journey pairs Nike's reluctant strength with Kukuri's enthusiastic but unrefined magical talent, leading them through a series of adventures that emphasize companionship and growth.
