Synopsis

This film condenses episodes nine through thirteen of the 2017 series, following Riko and Reg as they push deeper into the Abyss. On the third tier, Riko confronts the Curse for the first time. Their descent into the fourth tier brings danger when an Orbed Piercer maims Riko’s arm and Reg struggles to protect her. They encounter Nanachi, who treats Riko’s poisoned limb but bears a painful history: she asks Reg to end the life of her undying companion, Mitty. After this wrenching choice, Nanachi accompanies Riko and Reg as they continue their expedition toward the Abyss’s depths, united by shared purpose and the toll of what they have endured.
