Synopsis

Otonokizaka High faces closure as incoming student numbers fall each year, threatening the school's future once the current first-year class graduates. Second-year student Honoka Kousaka refuses to accept this fate and, after noticing the success of the popular idol unit A-RISE, decides to establish a school idol group to raise the school's profile. She recruits her childhood friends Umi Sonoda and Kotori Minami to found μ's, aiming to draw attention and increase enrollment. Their effort meets internal resistance from student council president Eri Ayase, who firmly opposes forming a school idol group, and the founders struggle to find more members. The upcoming Love Live competition, which spotlights Japan's leading school idol groups, presents an opportunity to secure the recognition they need. With the contest approaching, Honoka must work quickly and persistently to unite a full group and perform well enough in Love Live to help preserve Otonokizaka High.
