At Luna Nova Magical Academy, apprentice witches Akko, Lotte, and Sucy are on the verge of being expelled after repeatedly failing classes. Their last chance to remain students hinges on organizing the school's annual parade in a neighboring town. During preparations they learn the parade’s purpose is to demean witches and recall their historic repression. Outraged, Akko resolves to transform the event into a demonstration of contemporary witchcraft and pride. Her ambitious vision meets resistance: fellow students struggle to match her drive, and a variety of external challenges — from pranksters to dormant giants — complicate their efforts. Achieving the goal may demand every ounce of magical skill the academy can offer, and perhaps a rare, unexpected turning of fate.
