Synopsis

In Kashinokidai, a city where humans live alongside other beings, a transfer student named Luna Ishikawa draws attention with her composed, enigmatic presence. Though she projects an air of cool detachment, Luna harbors an unexpected difficulty: she cannot properly draw blood and relies on snacks to conceal this shortcoming—snacks that never seem to satiate her. Tatsuta Ootori, an ordinary and self-effacing classmate who feels Luna is out of his league, finds himself paired with her for cleaning duty and uncovers this ironic weakness. Choosing to help, Tatsuta volunteers to be Luna’s practice partner so she can learn the basic skill tied to her nature. Their efforts involve trial and error, awkward mishaps, and many bandaged moments, transforming routine school life into a quietly warm routine in which Luna can drop her flawless facade and reveal a naturally clumsy, endearing side. The story focuses on their growing closeness, the gentle awkwardness of learning together, and the small, sincere ways they support one another without altering who they are.
