During the Warring States era of ancient China, Xin, once a servant, advances through the military toward his aspiration of becoming the realm’s foremost general. He fights alongside King Ying Zheng of Qin, who aims to unify the warring states and bring an end to disorder. After reclaiming influence from Chancellor Buwei Lü, Ying Zheng, backed by advisers such as strategist Changping Jun and legalist Li Si, moves to construct a centralized legal order. When Qin attempts to expand into Zhao territory, their progress is checked by Zhao’s master strategist Li Mu. In response, Changping Jun proposes an audacious maneuver: avoid Zhao’s main defenses and target the strategic city of Gyou near Zhao’s capital. To execute the plan, a coalition army is assembled under veteran tacticians Ou Sen (Wang Jian), Kan Ki (Huan Yi), and the warrior queen Yo Tan Wa (Yang Duanhe). Alongside them operate the emerging Qin commanders of the next generation: Xin’s Fei Xin Force, Mou Ten (Meng Tian)’s Gaku Ka Unit, and Ou Hon (Wang Ben)’s Gyoku Hou Unit, each given autonomy in the campaign. The confrontation at Gyou commences, a decisive clash that will influence Qin’s bid for unification and determine the direction of the conflict.
