Synopsis

For centuries, shapeshifting beings known as Shokujinki have lived covertly among humans. Though they can appear human, they can also transform into savage creatures with massive claws and must feed on people to survive. A clandestine Kifuuken dojo devotes itself to neutralizing Shokujinki by severing their arms, serving as the lone barrier against their potential domination. Toshihiko Momota, son of the dojo’s leader, becomes captivated by a mysterious woman named Yuka Kamitsuki, but their bond is fraught: Yuka is secretly a Shokujinki while Toshihiko is bound by duty to destroy such beings. At the same time, internal tensions rise as Toshihiko’s brother Kazuma challenges longstanding Kifuuken customs and seeks reform. As loyalties fray and hidden truths from past and present come to light, survival and allegiance are put to the ultimate test.
