Synopsis

Seven years after last staying with his aunt Akiko, Yuuichi Aizawa comes back to the small northern town to live while his parents pursue work in Africa. Rather than feeling welcome, he finds that his recollections of the town and its residents have inexplicably vanished; even his once-close cousin Nayuki feels unfamiliar despite their childhood closeness. While unpacking on moving day, Yuuichi discovers a red headband that none of those around him recognize. That object becomes an early clue prompting him to wander the snowbound streets and gradually recover fragmented memories, old vows, and concealed truths. As shards of his past return, Yuuichi begins to sense a supernatural influence at play, and notices that several of the young women he meets appear connected to those lost memories.
