Synopsis

In 1868 England, nobleman George Joestar and his son Jonathan owe a debt to Dario Brando after a carriage incident; unknown to them, Dario had intended to pillage their belongings rather than rescue them. Twelve years later, following Dario’s death, George adopts Dario’s son Dio in an effort to honor the perceived obligation. Publicly devoted to his new father, Dio privately schemes to claim the Joestar inheritance. He attempts to turn George and Jonathan against one another and constantly eclipses his foster brother to secure his position. When Dio pushes Jonathan too far, Jonathan confronts and defeats him in a fight. Years pass with the two presenting a façade of friendship, but when George becomes ill Jonathan begins to suspect Dio’s involvement, and Dio’s concealed designs start to resurface.
