Synopsis

Ayumu Aikawa, a 16-year-old high schooler, is killed while investigating a suspicious house and then brought back to life as a zombie by Eucliwood Hellscythe, a reserved necromancer. Immortal but altered, Ayumu resolves to find his murderer. During a cemetery search he encounters Haruna, an energetic girl in magical-girl attire who has just slain a bear with a chainsaw. When Haruna attempts to remove Ayumu’s memory of her, he unintentionally absorbs her magical power instead. Deprived of her abilities, Haruna instructs Ayumu to assume her duty of confronting Megalo, the monstrous beings that invade the human world. The series chronicles Ayumu’s everyday experiences adapting to his undead existence amid a world where bizarre supernatural events are commonplace.
