Synopsis

Chinmi, a devoted young practitioner of Chinese martial arts, attracts the attention of masters at the renowned Dailin temple and is invited to train there. Under disciplined practice and patient instruction, he rises to become one of the temple's leading students. When he departs Dailin on a pilgrimage, he confronts perilous challenges that probe his abilities and encounters diverse people who leave lasting impressions. Humbled yet resolved, Chinmi goes back to Dailin to pursue more advanced instruction, but his progress is soon tested again as the threat of approaching Mongol forces draws near the temple.
