Synopsis

After hard-fought wins in Tochigi, Saitama, and Ibaraki, Project D—an amateur street racing unit led by former street driver and strategist Ryousuke Takahashi—moves into Kanagawa, regarded as the center of street racing culture. Drivers Takumi Fujiwara and Keisuke Takahashi must raise the team's performance for this critical campaign. In response, three top Kanagawa teams implement a complex plan called the "Four Lines of Defense" aimed at stopping Project D's progress. At the same time, Takumi seeks to polish his technique after narrowly defeating Toshiya Joushima, feeling the need for further improvement before the decisive contests. The series centers on whether Project D, bearing the expectations of Gunma Prefecture, can counter the unexpected tactics of Kanagawa's experienced racers and secure victory.
