Synopsis
In the final confrontation with Kanagawa's Sidewinder team, Project D racer Takumi Fujiwara encounters an unexpected contender: Shinji Inui, a 17-year-old high school driver. Having begun driving very early, Shinji knows the mountain pass where the showdown occurs intimately and pilots a Toyota AE86, the same model Takumi uses. At first Shinji hesitates to join the race due to low motivation, but after observing the intense duel between Keisuke Takahashi and Gou Houjou, he finds the impetus to compete. Undefeated on his home course, the Tsubaki Line, Shinji may present Takumi with his toughest challenge yet.
