Synopsis

In a society where humans and monsters coexist under legal protections favoring people, Sasahara Natsuki works as an impoverished bounty hunter handling disputes that typically involve monsters violating human rights. As someone of mixed human and feline-beast heritage, she occupies both communities and seeks to balance empathy for each side while carrying out her duties. Her circle includes Batanen, a werewolf who struggles to acknowledge his feelings for her; another werewolf, Tommy; and Sakura, a nine-tailed fox spirit whose agenda includes absorbing Natsuki to complete her tails and thus attain greater mystical ability. The narrative follows Natsuki’s efforts to enforce the law amid social friction and personal danger, highlighting the uneasy relationships and competing motives among the characters.
