Synopsis

Hunters take on dangerous missions—exploring unknown lands, tracking rare creatures and artifacts. To join them, candidates must survive the Hunter Examination, a lethal qualifying ordeal that leaves many maimed or dead. Twelve-year-old Gon Freecss enters the exam driven by a single aim: to find his father, Ging, who is a Hunter. Convinced that following the Hunter path will lead to their meeting, Gon embarks on the first steps of that journey. During the examination he forms bonds with Leorio Paladiknight, a medical student; Kurapika, who pursues his own vendetta; and Killua Zoldyck, an escaped assassin. Though their motivations differ, the four unite and begin confronting the hazards of a dangerous world together.
