Synopsis

After their work in Yorknew City, Leorio Paladiknight and Kurapika examine reports of a youth seen with vivid red eyes, thought to be tied to the disbanded Kurta Clan. Kurapika, hoping to find another survivor, is instead assaulted and has his eyes taken by someone who appears connected to his childhood. Leorio cares for Kurapika’s injuries and calls Gon Freecss and Killua Zoldyck to assist in recovering the stolen eyes. Their efforts bring them into confrontation with the Phantom Troupe, the criminal group responsible for the Kurta Clan’s slaughter five years earlier for their eyes that flare red with intense emotion. As they pursue the thief and seek Kurapika’s eyes, the group uncovers elements of the Phantom Troupe’s history and meets an enigmatic girl whose presence seems entwined with the events.
