Synopsis

A girl who struggles with severe social anxiety faces the challenge of starting middle school without friends. She experiences intense physical reactions to stress—fainting when overwhelmed and vomiting when nervous—and devises elaborate avoidance strategies to cope. Her sole companion from elementary school, Kai Yawara, will attend a different school and cuts ties, promising to reunite only after she manages to make friends with every classmate. Despite doubting her own abilities, she resolves to overcome her fears and attempt to befriend her whole class, beginning with the tough-looking student seated ahead of her. The story follows her anxious, determined efforts to rebuild social connections in an unfamiliar environment.
