Synopsis

In the Kagami family, an heirloom Western palm mirror has been handed down through generations and taught to Akko-chan as a cherished object. When her mother entrusts it to her, Akko-chan holds it dear. During a commotion caused by Taishou and his friends, the mirror is accidentally shattered; Akko-chan buries the fragments and grieves the loss. That night she is roused by a glow and a gentle voice—the Queen of the Mirror Kingdom—who thanks Akko-chan for treasuring the mirror and presents her with a magical compact. The queen explains that, by speaking the enchanted phrase while using the compact, Akko-chan can change her form into whatever she desires.
