Synopsis

Akko-chan is an upbeat fifth-grade girl whose father works as a newscaster and whose mother writes picture books. She treasures a small hand mirror given by her father, but it is unintentionally shattered by her forgetful mother. One night, after burying the fragments in the garden beneath a bright full moon, Akko-chan is roused by a gentle voice: the Queen of the Mirror Kingdom. Grateful that Akko-chan cared for the mirror, the Queen presents her with a magical compact. By speaking the special words, Akko-chan gains the ability to become whatever she wishes, opening the door to imaginative transformations.
