Synopsis

In the summer of 1983, Keiichi Maebara relocates to the quiet village of Hinamizawa and forms close bonds with classmates Rena Ryuuguu, Mion Sonozaki, Satoko Houjou, and Rika Furude. Beneath the village's tranquil surface lies a disturbing past tied to the annual festival and the local deity, Oyashiro. Keiichi learns that a series of recent murders and vanishings appear linked to these traditions. His attempts to question his friends are met with evasiveness, fueling his unease as strange occurrences escalate. As distrust and paranoia take hold, Keiichi is drawn deeper into the village's recurring enigmas, which are explored through multiple narrative arcs.
