Synopsis

Gugure! Kokkuri-san is a quirky comedic story about Kohina Ichimatsu, a girl who presents herself as a living doll and leads a monotonous, uneventful existence. Her routine is disrupted when she summons Kokkuri-san, a fox spirit from folklore now diminished in power due to a decline in believers. Rather than fulfilling prophetic roles, he arrives powerless and bewildered. Discovering Kohina lives alone and subsists on instant cup noodles, Kokkuri-san becomes worried for her welfare and takes on the task of ensuring she eats properly and maintains a reasonable daily life. The series follows his awkward, earnest attempts to look after Kohina and the odd domestic life that develops between them, maintaining a lighthearted, offbeat tone without revealing major plot developments.
