Synopsis

Eikichi Onizuka, a twenty-two-year-old former gang leader known for his rowdy past and unconventional motives, takes a position as homeroom teacher for Class 3-4 at the elite Holy Forest Academy. Though he initially seeks the role for personal reasons, his arrival confronts a class notorious for driving teachers away through calculated psychological hostility. Rather than respond with standard discipline, Onizuka employs unpredictable, often outrageous approaches to address deep issues his students face — including bullying, self-harm, and sexual harassment — aiming to treat underlying causes rather than symptoms. Through his irreverent charm and willingness to risk himself for his pupils, he gradually breaks through their defenses and shows them a different, more hopeful side of school life while challenging institutional expectations about what a teacher can be.
