Synopsis

Sugimoto, nicknamed "The Immortal," together with Genjirou Tanigaki and Cikapasi, teams up with Seventh Division officers Otonoshin Koito and Hajime Tsukishima to travel north into Karafuto after a foreteller provides details about Asirpa. Braving the harsh Russian cold, they gather leads and hurry to locate her. Unaware of events that unfolded at Abashiri Prison, Asirpa is troubled by discoveries about her father Wilk and goes with his old companion Kiroranke to Wilk's birthplace to seek context for his actions. Unbeknownst to her, Kiroranke and the sniper Hyakunosuke Ogata are maneuvering in secret. Multiple parties realize that even with all 24 tattooed skins that form the route to the lost Ainu treasure, the map cannot be used without Asirpa, making her central to their plans. Sugimoto fears for her safety and races to reach her before rival interests can exploit or endanger her.
