Synopsis

In the second film of the Ghost in the Shell: Arise series, Motoko Kusanagi, no longer tied to the 501 Organization, must adapt to taking directives from Aramaki. When the Logicomas are compromised by a hacker, Batou brings in former army intelligence operative Ishikawa and ex-air artillery specialist Borma to assist. At the same time, Kusanagi aims to recruit skilled sniper Saito and undercover officer Paz for the newly formed Public Security Section 9. Tensions rise between the two assembled teams as they investigate a case centered on a man who has been implanted with fabricated memories related to a refugee transport operation, driving the unit to confront technical breaches and questions about manipulated recollections.
