Synopsis

Tooru Honda, shaped by childhood tales of the Chinese zodiac, faces a sudden family loss that leaves her without a home. Forced to live in a makeshift tent, she unknowingly sets it up on the grounds of the prominent Souma household. An encounter with Shigure, an older Souma cousin, and Yuki, the admired school "prince," leads to her presence being revealed when the family sees her returning to the tent. The Soumas learn of her situation and offer her a place to stay. While adjusting to her new living arrangement, Tooru becomes entangled in a dispute between Yuki and his volatile cousin Kyo, and in the process uncovers a peculiar family condition: when a Souma is embraced by someone of the opposite gender, they undergo a transformation into one of the Chinese zodiac animals. Living under the same roof with the Soumas turns into an unforeseen chapter in Tooru’s life, marked by comedic incidents and developing romantic connections, as she navigates their secret and her own changing circumstances.
