Synopsis

A year after forming the Iwatobi High swim team, Haruka Nanase and Makoto Tachibana, now seniors, face the prospect of their club closing unless they can bring in new members. Joined by younger teammates Nagisa Hazuki and Rei Ryūgazaki, they work to keep the club alive while confronting the uncertain choices that come with imminent graduation. Unlike their friend Rin Matsuoka—who, as Samezuka Academy’s new captain, is intent on pursuing a professional swimming career—Haruka and Makoto are unsure about their futures. The situation grows more complicated when Sousuke Yamazaki, an acquaintance from Rin’s past who has been recruited to study at Samezuka, arrives in the city, introducing strain into the relationships between Rin and his old friends. The story maintains a reflective tone as the characters balance loyalty, ambition, and the pressure of decisions that will shape their paths.
