Synopsis

Tatsuya Kimura struggles with feelings of being left behind as his friends Ippo Makunouchi and Mamoru Takamura hold championship titles. Haunted by his failure to capture Japan's Junior Lightweight crown, Kimura prepares to face the reigning champion, Ryo Mashiba. To ready himself, he trains under Ichirou Miyata—who once suffered a harsh defeat at the hands of Mashiba's distinctive "Hitman" technique. Mashiba, meanwhile, is determined to retain the belt and aims for a shot at the world level to secure financial support for his sister Kumi. The conflict centers on Kimura's intense need to prove his capabilities as a boxer against Mashiba's urgent desire to protect his family’s future.
