Synopsis

Ippo Makunouchi has risen from challenger to Japan’s featherweight champion. Time after his title win finds him surrounded by steady support from friends and his trainer, and he shares moments with Kumi Mashiba, the woman he cares for. Just as his future seems promising, a new obstacle appears: his first challenger returns as a formidable opponent. Kazuki Sanada, who works alongside Kumi as a doctor, brings a calculated approach to the ring, applying medical insight to exploit physical vulnerabilities. Beyond his technical threat, Sanada’s popularity among the hospital staff adds an unsettling social dimension.
