Synopsis

Illyasviel "Illya" von Einzbern awakens in a distorted version of Fuyuki City, disoriented and separated from everything familiar. Her home lies devastated, a vast crater marking the town's center, and unseasonal snow falls despite it being summer. Unable to find her companions or her magical wand, Ruby, Illya navigates the ruined streets alone until she reaches the remains of her house. There she is confronted by a girl in a gym uniform who has lost her memories; the newcomer, called Tanaka, is equally confused about how she arrived. Despite her amnesia, Tanaka claims to know where several of Illya's missing friends—such as Rin Tohsaka and Miyu Edelfelt—might be found. As agents of the Ainsworth family, who exert control over this alternate realm, pursue them, Illya and Tanaka must flee and piece together how to recover Illya's lost present and restore the world Illya once knew.
