Synopsis
After the Grand Magic Games end without a clear victor, guildmaster Makarov Dreyar determines the outcome through a rock-paper-scissors contest between two teams; the winning side may issue any command to the losers. Under this rule, Laxus Dreyar dispatches Natsu Dragneel and his companions on a seemingly impossible errand to recover a missing gem. Meanwhile, the female members of Fairy Tail relax in a bathhouse with the guild’s first master, Mavis Vermillion, who appears unusually downcast. When Warrod Sequen arrives and recounts a century-old tale about a hidden treasure tied to Mavis, Natsu’s retrieval mission becomes an attempt to rekindle fond memories, and tensions among Fairy Tail’s original members are exposed. In a separate episode, the guild helps the city of Magnolia prepare for Christmas; after a day of communal effort, Natsu and his friends celebrate the holiday with drinks and games, which quickly unfold in characteristic Fairy Tail fashion.
