Synopsis

A sacred celestial ritual, ETM12, occurs every sixty years, where animal-themed Eto-musume compete to become members of the Chinese zodiac, known as Eto-shin. For two thousand years, the original Eto-shin have remained unchallenged, preventing any new additions. Nyaa-tan, a cat Eto-musume, aims to join the zodiac during the ongoing ETM12. Her path involves securing twelve seals, each earned by triumphing over an Eto-shin in various battles. These contests demand the use of Sol/Lull, a divine energy generated by positive human emotions. Nyaa-tan's powers are significantly less potent than those of an Eto-shin, requiring a constant energy source. By chance, she encounters Takeru Amato, who moves into her secret apartment. Takeru possesses a remarkably high-quality Sol/Lull, a rare attribute that proves invaluable. Their story unfolds as Takeru supports Nyaa-tan's dream, leading him to meet the Eto-shin and gradually reveal a mysterious past.
