Synopsis

In Ikebukuro, residents remain linked by seemingly preordained destinies. Mikado Ryuugamine edges closer to his aim of a more thrilling existence and consequently becomes more immersed in Ikebukuro’s darker currents. Having subdued a former adversary, he exercises his authority to reshape the Dollars from within, attempting to transform it into his conception of a proper group. That effort faces significant obstacles, including unwelcome external meddling and the return of a long-missed companion. At the same time, Izaya Orihara continues to manipulate events, even as a competing information network complicates his plans and operates within the district’s popular areas. Tensions build under the surface, and the balance of order and disorder in the city grows increasingly unstable.
