Synopsis

In Ikebukuro, a downtown area crowded with rumors about anonymous gangs and dangerous residents, locals whisper about a headless figure known as the Black Rider who rides a jet-black motorcycle through the streets. Mikado Ryuugamine, eager for urban excitement, accepts a childhood friend's invitation and relocates to Tokyo. Shortly after arriving, he encounters the Black Rider, suggesting his desire for adventure may be fulfilled. As unexplained, supernatural incidents escalate, everyday people like Mikado and the district's eccentric characters become entangled in the turmoil unfolding across the city.
