Synopsis

Hole is a ravaged, chaotic quarter where violence and death are routine and those with magic rule without restraint. Treated as vermin by the privileged magic users, ordinary residents suffer murder, mutilation, and experiments, filling the local hospital with the daily consequences of oppression. Magic wielders move through this environment with near-total freedom, enforcing their dominance with impunity. Against this backdrop stands Caiman, a man whose features are more reptilian than human and who cannot be affected by magic. Driven by a need to recover his former life and haunted by persistent nightmares, he hunts magic users relentlessly, armed only with a pair of bayonets and his unusual immunity. Accompanying him is Nikaidou, a woman who runs the restaurant Hungry Bug and serves as his closest ally while he struggles with personal obstacles including a voracious appetite. Their tense, grim struggle unfolds within a setting defined by cruelty, moral absence, and the stark divide between the powerful and the powerless.
