Synopsis

Daisuke Niwa is an awkward, insecure middle schooler with little confidence. On his fourteenth birthday he musters the courage to tell his longtime crush, Risa Harada, how he feels, but she turns him down. Unexpectedly, whenever Daisuke’s thoughts focus on Risa he shifts into Dark Mousy, a notorious phantom thief. Daisuke does not understand this puzzling inheritance, though his mother has long prepared for him to adopt the thief’s role and make the alias famous by stealing priceless artworks. Torn by uncertainty, Daisuke’s relationships with friends and family grow strained as he copes with the dual identity. He soon discovers he is not alone in carrying a predetermined legacy; the person he is least eager to confront may become his most formidable opponent.
