Synopsis

Infected Digimon—digital creatures behaving violently and gaining unusual strength—are crossing into the real world. Agents Maki Himekawa and Daigo Nishijima, working for a secretive Incorporated Administrative Agency, investigate these dangerous incidents while most of the Chosen Children focus on preparations for Tsukishima General High School’s summer festival. Mimi Tachikawa, newly returned to Japan after years abroad, finds it hard to reconnect with classmates and the other Chosen Children. Jou Kido, meanwhile, buries himself in academics to avoid confronting Digimon-related problems, prompting his partner Gomamon to run away. The resulting tensions between Mimi and Jou strain the group even as the infected Digimon threat grows. The story follows whether Mimi and Jou can reconcile their differences in time to support their friends against the mounting danger.
