Shidou Itsuka confronts escalating danger because of his ties to Ratatoskr after sealing ten Spirits. Isaac Westcott, head of Deus Ex Machina Industries, resolves to eliminate Shidou and seize the Spirits' abilities for himself. To accomplish this, Isaac launches a full-scale assault on Ratatoskr, compelling the group to stretch its capabilities to safeguard Shidou. Overwhelmed and disadvantaged, Ratatoskr still finds a potential advantage in Kurumi Tokisaki, the Spirit of Time. Shidou needs to subdue and gain Kurumi's power to travel backward and face the Spirit of Origin, the force that initiated the conflict.
