After fleeing the fallout of events at Hell's Gate, the enhanced fighter known as Hei and his silent partner Yin take cover at a secluded guesthouse, posing as spouses to avoid attention. As Hei tries to heal and connect with the other lodgers, he learns that one is another Contractor sent to eliminate him. Their confrontation escalates into a catastrophic clash that endangers both Hei and Yin, compelling them to confront long-buried emotional scars from their shared past while fighting for survival.
