Synopsis

Ryo Saeba works as a private troubleshooter known as the City Hunter, tackling assignments beyond what law enforcement will address. Operating in Tokyo, he handles dangerous and morally ambiguous jobs to protect citizens and resolve situations the police avoid. Outside of investigations he openly pursues romantic interests, a habit that often complicates his work life. Kaori Makimura, his dependable partner and assistant, supports the investigations while reacting to Ryo’s womanizing with a large hammer used more as comic discipline than as a solution. Their partnership balances serious, sometimes violent cases with lighthearted interpersonal conflict, set against the urban backdrop of Tokyo.
