Synopsis

Chihaya Ayase is driven to transform her school's karuta club into a force capable of capturing the national team championship at Omi Jingu and earning her the Queen title as Japan’s top female karuta player. Entering their second year of high school, she and her teammates work to bring new members into the club, sharpen both mental and physical skills, and confront increasingly challenging opponents on the road to the title. At the same time, Arata Wataya, the childhood friend who first taught Chihaya the game, finds himself rekindling his own passion for the traditional card match.
