Synopsis
Chihaya Ayase, who once hoped to see her older sister succeed as a model, becomes drawn into competitive karuta after standing up for Arata Wataya against a bully from her childhood, Taichi Mashima. The poetic card game, derived from the Ogura anthology, demands sharp memory, quick reflexes, and sustained stamina. Reunited with Arata and Taichi, Chihaya joins the Shiranami Society and sets her sights on the Queen of Karuta title. Later, seeking to refine her abilities, she establishes a karuta club at her high school. Supported by Taichi, an experienced player, and several eager recruits, the Mizusawa Karuta Club strives to compete at the national tournament held at the Omi Shrine.
