Synopsis

As graduation approaches, Yuuki Wakura faces uncertainty about his path. While fearing a mundane future, he is abruptly pulled into Mato, a parallel realm inhabited by dangerous creatures known as Shuuki. Since Mato's existence became known, accidental crossings have occurred with increasing frequency. To address the Shuuki threat and retrieve those stranded in the other world, an all-female organization called the Demon Defense Force was formed. Its operatives possess supernatural gifts granted by Mato’s fruits, called Peaches, abilities that manifest only in women. Yuuki is rescued from imminent danger by Kyouka Uzen, commander of the Force’s seventh unit. Kyouka is a highly capable fighter but has been constrained by her Peach-derived power, Slave, which lets her dominate a living being and draw out its capabilities; every Shuuki she had previously controlled proved feeble. When a swarm of Shuuki closes in, Kyouka makes an unprecedented decision to activate Slave on a man. The result is startling: Yuuki’s transformed state exhibits far greater strength than she anticipated. Concluding that he may be the catalyst for her full potential, Kyouka offers Yuuki a place in the Demon Defense Force—though not in a conventional role.
