Synopsis

Hidden deities wage destructive conflicts beyond human awareness, their clashes mistaken for unstoppable natural catastrophes. Sixteen-year-old Godou Kusanagi visits Italy at his grandfather’s request to hand over a specific tablet, only to be pulled into a confrontation between two Heretic Gods alongside Erica Blandelli, a witch intent on shielding people. When Godou defeats the war god in personal combat, he is designated a Campione, a god-slayer tasked with confronting Heretic Gods to defend humanity. His new role draws further divine challengers and a group of devoted supporters—predominantly women—who join him in facing successive duels between gods. The story follows Godou as he navigates those battles amid a larger struggle between celestial and earthly powers.
