Synopsis

Fourteen-year-old Kou Yamori is determined to turn into a vampire by falling in love with Nazuna Nanakusa and has ten months of nightly meetings to achieve this. His friends Mahiru Seki and Akira Asai gradually accept that vampires exist and confront Kou’s choice. When Kou discovers a woman close to Mahiru is a vampire, he faces uncertainty about how to react. At the same time, human investigator Anko Uguisu, intent on eradicating vampires, zeroes in on Nazuna’s group. After a clash leaves one vampire gravely harmed, the group learns that their retained human memories reveal a vulnerability that could destroy them. To keep Nazuna safe, Kou must uncover details of her history. The story unfolds with tense relationships, moral dilemmas, and a quest to protect someone he hopes to love without revealing crucial secrets or resorting to violence.
