Synopsis

After the three-way conflict among criminal groups ended, government official Ango Sakaguchi reflects on an earlier incident following the death of the previous Port Mafia leader. At that time, a young Osamu Dazai was assigned to look into reports about a mysterious blast that had ravaged part of the city years before and its possible link to rumors that the deceased boss had somehow come back. Circumstances force Dazai to work alongside Chuuya Nakahara, the talented but hot-headed head of a rival faction called the Sheep, as they seek answers about the explosion and investigate the legend of Arahabaki, a fire deity who could hold the key to the mystery. In the current timeline, the Armed Detective Agency resumes its routine, but their respite is short: both familiar adversaries and new threats regroup and prepare for another confrontation.
