Synopsis

The Blue Lock program advances into its next stage as the candidate roster narrows to 35 strikers. A limited number of those remaining will be selected to participate in an exhibition match against Japan’s current U-20 squad. Victory in that game would grant the winners the opportunity to serve as the nation’s new U-20 team; defeat would terminate the Blue Lock project. Yoichi Isagi remains among the contenders, confronting his own strengths and limitations. Meanwhile, six players have already been fixed in the starting lineup, leaving the other 29 to compete for the remaining spots. Each candidate must choose a preferred pairing of six teammates to demonstrate their suitability. To topple the established U-20 side, this disparate group of forwards must learn to integrate their individual approaches into an effective collective style.
