Synopsis

Rin Okumura, unlike his twin Yukio, has no interest in the mysteries of their origins. When Mephisto Pheles, who governs time, offers him a device, Rin is sent four decades into the past to watch his mother Yuri Frederick Egin grow from a child into an apprentice exorcist. Guided by Mephisto, Rin shadows Yuri through her formative years, witnessing her early encounters with Shirou Fujimoto, the man who later adopts Rin and Yukio. As Rin observes, he sees the first manifestations of Satan, who is his biological father, and the grim events at the True Cross Order’s Section 13. Yuri’s deep, unusual link to Satan gradually reveals the reality behind the catastrophic incident known as the Blue Night, the night that marks the most devastating moment in exorcist history and the birth of the twins.
