Synopsis

Following a sudden and devastating strike by Quincy sovereign Yhwach, the Soul Society's Shinigami recover and grieve their casualties. Many captains who remain alive must learn to operate in combat without relying on their Bankai, the pinnacle of their fighting techniques. Ichigo Kurosaki, who barely withstood Yhwach's previous onslaught, is compelled to undertake punishing training that challenges his body, heart, and mind in order to confront this near-divine foe and protect his comrades.
